POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
As a Retail Banking Intern, you'll dive into a variety of hands on responsibilities that help deliver outstanding client experiences and keep our banking centers running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to apply what you're learning in school while building real world skills-supporting clients, learning daily banking center operations, problem solving, and professionalism. This is a paid internship slated to begin May 2026 and ending in May 2027. In addition, this position is 100% in office in Louisville, KY during the entire internship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Active pursuit of Finance, Business Administration, Communications or a related degree with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 required.
* Cumulative GPA 2.5 or greater required.
* Willing to work 40 hours during the summer months and up to 24 hours during the fall/spring semesters.
* Demonstrated ability in Word, Excel, and Internet applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Engage in structured learning and hands-on exposure to core retail banking concepts-including deposit products, consumer lending basics, regulatory requirements, and service standards-to build a strong understanding of the financial solutions offered to clients.
* Cultivate the ability to communicate effectively with clients, understand their needs, and support the delivery of positive banking experiences. This includes observing and eventually participating in interactions that help clients navigate financial options confidently.
* Rotate through various departments-such as operations, lending, digital banking, and virtual banking-to understand how different areas work together to deliver end-to-end client service. This includes building relationships with cross-functional partners and contributing to team initiatives.
* Throughout the program year, you will benefit from continuous coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to support your professional growth.
* Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
* Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture, creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
* Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
* Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
* Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
