What We DoThis internship is part of First American's structured program designed to provide college students with hands on experience while developing technical, professional, and interpersonal skills for long term career growth. Interns work in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title industry, supported by meaningful project work, executive level exposure, and networking opportunities, all under the guidance of a manager or mentor.

First American is seeking a forward-thinking intern to join our Strategic Initiatives Delivery team. This role is focused on the practical application of Artificial Intelligence to improve how we define and deliver the enterprise's most critical strategic work.

As we work toward our 2026 North Star of becoming the organization's go-to team for strategic initiative delivery, this position will help identify, pilot, and operationalize AI solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen quality, and enhance visibility across our portfolio. The emphasis is on measurable impact and real-world adoption, not theoretical exploration.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to identify practical opportunities to apply AI to real business challenges
  • Identify repetitive and time-intensive tasks and prototype AI-enabled solutions to reduce administrative effort and improve consistency
  • Design and test structured prompts or custom AI assistants to support repeatable tasks such as meeting minutes, action tracking, and standardized reporting
  • Evaluate results, gather feedback, and recommend refinements or next steps
  • Document findings and create simple playbooks to support continued adoption after the internship
  • Support additional strategic initiatives as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in and consistently working toward completion of a Bachelor's in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional content
  • Analytical mindset with interest in Artificial Intelligence, automation, and applied business technology
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications; familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools is a plus
Pay Range: $15.38 - $20.48 Hourly, Remote This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
