Position Summary Ensure a visable security presence and safe environment for Credit Union employees and visitors through keen observation of all activity on or within Credit Union property. Provide security for Credit Union property and assets. Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. Supervises: None Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Monitor all visitors' activities directly or on security camera. Provide visible security presence to discourage or halt any harmful or criminal activity on or within credit union premises. Monitor the Closed Circuit TV system at assigned credit union locations in order to stay aware of activity and security at each location. Provide a daily report to the Director of Security of daily overnight camera review of assigned branches. Assist with a variety of functions to support Credit Union security when assigned such as occasionally detain suspects, keep sidewalks free of debris, calm visibly upset visitors, aid ill or possibly injured employees or members. Unlock building at opening of business and secure at close of business. Assist with the movement of currency to ensure safety of credit union assets. Provide rotational support in the management of the office reception area. Greet and direct all visitors, including vendors, professional partners, and members. Maintain and audit the CU Card process and provide appropriate CU Card to visitors. Answer a multiline phone system and provide guidance and information to the callers. When necessary, transfer the caller to the appropriate department. Receives, logs, and announces any deliveries made to the corporate office or branch. Reports facilities and security vulnerabilities and repairs to the Facilities Team via Service Desk work order system. Minimum Qualifications Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Certificates/Licenses Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record; an annual MVR may be pulled to ensure compliance. Current Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Armed Security Guard license required. Current BLS and/or EMT license preferred. Experience Experience in security related work: 5 Years Police Academy and/or Military training: Preferred Additional Requirements Job Knowledge * Ability to learn and understand TTCU security standards and operating procedures. * Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality at all times. * Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, and Edge) Interpersonal Skills * Basic written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with the general public, members, and employees. * Possess the keen ability to observe people and surrounding and ascertain the current environment. * Intermediate interpersonal and member services skills, including the ability to maintain composure under pressure while interacting with others face to face, by phone and through other communication modalities using active listening, developing rapport, and responding appropriately. * Ability to construct a positive work atmosphere that promotes TTCU's Core Values * Possess a high level of personal integrity and present a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor while providing extraordinary service to members and fostering teamwork among employees. * Ability and willingness to adapt and grow into a subject matter expert regarding TTCU polices for emergency and disaster response and provide ongoing training to credit union employees. Working Conditions Work Environment * Public work area, i.e., Branch Physical Demands * Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting at a desk) for extended periods. * Preform work which routinely requires walking or standing majority of the workday * Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs Travel * Frequent travel for meetings, conferences, and industry related events.
