Senior Engineer

Full-time, Year-round 6-Step Wage Range: $144,081.60 to $183,809.60 (Exempt level position) The North Tahoe Public Utility District, located on the north shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, is looking for an experienced engineer to oversee and supervise professional engineering work for planning, permitting, design, inspection, maintenance and completion of District capital projects and operational projects for water and wastewater utility systems and recreation facility improvements. Administer and manage construction projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform a wide variety of engineering and construction projects of varying complexity; oversee and administer multiple complex capital projects from concept to completion; ability to identify opportunities and pinpoint problems to maximize efficiency; ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in scheduling, assigning, and coordinating work with other operational units, consultants, regulatory bodies, public agencies and contractors; and have excellent communication and organizational skills. The exempt position is full-time, year-round, with an excellent benefit package that includes Cal PERS pension program, District-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents, $3,500 annual contribution to HRA, 12 paid holidays, paid time-off (sick, administrative, vacation), long-term disability, and group life insurance.
