Job Description
We are currently hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Intern in the Breinigsville PA Brewery. This is a 10-week summer internship running from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. This role is ideal for candidates interested in occupational hygiene and workplace safety, with opportunities to support the development and implementation of critical safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout and to build hands-on experience working with OSHA policies and regulatory requirements in a dynamic operational environment. What you'll do:
- Support occupational hygiene initiatives aimed at identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace health and safety risks.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other hazard control programs.
- Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in safety assessments, audits, and observations to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Help document, update, and communicate safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Support safety training efforts and promote a strong culture of safety across the site.
- Maintain EHS electronic incident management system (Gensuite)
What we're looking for: Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest in occupational hygiene, workplace safety, or environmental health & safety programs.
- Foundational understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements, or a strong desire to learn and apply them in a real-world environment.
- Interest in supporting the creation and implementation of safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine safety, and hazard control programs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and help document safety policies and procedures.
- Effective communicator who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safe work practices.
- Strong organizational ability and communication skills, ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a
- Self-starter, proactive.
- Proven conflict resolution skills; be able to think through relatively complex issues and arrive at well-thought conclusions.
- Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a "get-it-done, can-do" attitude.
- Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access
- Knowledge of basic EHS Programs/OSHA regulations required
- Direct experience coordinating audiometric testing and associated hearing conservation training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience executing basic EHS tasks such as respirator medical clearance, training, and fit testing.
- Maintaining and updating key EHS metrics.
- Interest in manufacturing safety
In accordance with pay transparency laws the rate for this role if hired is $18 - $20 an hour. ,
