Assembler I

dormakabais seeking a First Shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Assembler I based in Indianapolis, IN. The Assembleris responsible forperforming assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $16/hr. - $18/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Pay rate to bedeterminedby the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

• Perform a variety of basic production and assembly processes by following assembly work instructions
• Operate various production assembly machines and may use hand tools to assemble products
• Inspect parts to quality standards as described in the quality system. Communicate any problems which arise to the supervisor/lead person
• Pack finished product as set forth by work instruction, including instructional sheets and any necessary hardware
• Cross-train and rotate on a frequent basis

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• General assembly skills

• Must be able tosit, stand, alternatesitting orstanding atwill,andwalk

• Must be able topush, pull,reachoverhead & at or below shoulder level
• Must be able tostoop, crouch, kneel,climb,and balance
• Must have the ability tolift and carryup to 40 pounds
• Must havenear & far visual acuitywith or without correction
• Must also be able to effectively communicate within a manufacturing environment
• Must have the ability to maneuver in a manufacturing facility

• Previous experience in an assembly/production environment
• Experience with press stamping, riveters
• Lean/continuous improvement methodologies
