We're adding a Senior IT Project Manager for Data Platform & Reporting Enablement who will lead the delivery of highly complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance the organization's data platform and enable reporting and analytics teams that consume enterprise data. This role partners closely with engineering, data, analytics, product, and business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are prioritized against strategy and executed using Agile practices with high quality, transparency, and predictable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Delivery
*Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex initiatives spanning data platform development, data pipelines, analytics-enablement, and reporting solutions.
*Manage multiple concurrent Agile initiatives with interdependencies across engineering, data, analytics, and business teams.
*Drive clarity on scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies; ensure delivery commitments are met and benefits are realized.
*Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Data Architects, and Business Stakeholders to align priorities and outcomes.

Agile Leadership
*Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid) to deliver incremental, high-value outcomes.
*Facilitate Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) as appropriate.
*Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, delivery expectations, and continuous improvement.
*Adapt delivery approaches based on team maturity, complexity, and organizational constraints.

Stakeholder & Communication Management
*Serve as a trusted delivery partner to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
*Translate complex technical initiatives into clear, actionable communication for business and executive audiences.
*Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate with recommended mitigations when appropriate.
*Ensure strong alignment between data platform teams and reporting/analytics consumers to maximize value realization.

Data Platform & Reporting Enablement
*Support initiatives to build, scale, and modernize enterprise data platforms (e.g., warehouses, lakes, pipelines, governance).
*Coordinate delivery for reporting and analytics teams that depend on reliable, well-structured data.
*Ensure downstream impacts on data consumers-reporting accuracy, performance, usability-are considered in planning and execution.
*Promote best practices for data quality, availability, security, and operational readiness.

Leadership & Supervision (Future-Focused)
*Provide informal leadership and mentorship to project managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery team members.
*Contribute to the evolution of project management standards, tooling, and governance.
*Support hiring, onboarding, and potential people leadership responsibilities as the role expands.

Preferred Qualifications
*Minimum 7 years of project or program management experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.
*Demonstrated experience applying Agile in data-focused environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid).
*Experience supporting enterprise data platforms, analytics, reporting, or business intelligence teams.
*Familiarity with modern data architectures, data governance, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP).
*Strong understanding of software and data delivery lifecycles, including DevOps/CI/CD practices for data.
*Experience in large, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholder groups.
*Prior supervisory or people leadership experience, including mentoring or leading project teams.
*Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across technical and business teams.
*Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP).

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Quality Assurance or closely related field
  • A minimum of 5 years IT management experience, including management of multiple concurrent projects
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods
  • Experience in working with business users to establish priorities and manage expectations
  • Self-starter, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and capable of performing tasks in a dynamic environment, many times working under tight delivery schedules
  • Engineering and/or Construction background a plus
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
