Physical Therapist PT Acute Care PRN

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Acute Care team. This role is PRN/As Needed requiring at least 2 weekend shifts per month (weekday availability is a plus), and 1 major and 1 minor holiday

Physical Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities:

• The Physical Therapist PRN selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Physical Therapist license (VA licensure or compact privileges)

• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• One year experience working as a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting
