Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access and visitor flow while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, putting people first, delivering through teamwork, and acting with integrity every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and authorized entry processes, including verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor directions, and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
  • Operate and observe security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and communication equipment, and complete routine reports, patrol logs, and incident reports with clear, timely details.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
