As an unarmed Patrol Officer in residential and shelter locations, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support staff and residents through strong customer service and detailed reporting, while representing Allied Universal as agile, reliable, and innovative. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within residential and shelter locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and requesting medical, fire, and/or law enforcement assistance when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, entrances, stairwells, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points by observing visitor and resident traffic, assisting with check-in expectations as directed by site policy, and reporting unauthorized entry concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related concerns promptly to supervisors and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
