Responsibilities include managing programs and projects and designing, implementing, and evaluating management systems to enhance department and service operations. Assists in the development of the leadership staff.

Essential Functions
-Plans, implements, and evaluates specific projects to enhance department/service effectiveness.
-Identifies and recommends fiscal, material, and human resource requirements for specific projects/programs.
-Implements changes related to programs/projects, working collaboratively with nursing staff and staff of other departments.
-Researches and investigates department/service issues and problems and collaborates with nursing and other departments in an effort to resolve issues and problems.
-Promotes effective management of transitional phases between planned change and actual practice with leadership staff.
-Interprets and integrates departmental values, standards, goals, policies, and procedures through ongoing programs, committee involvement, and consultation.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing required and Master's Degree Nursing required

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse, MA

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required and Program development/implementation and project management experience 1-2 years required and Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing care practices and principles.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based care plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and within nursing.
- Leadership abilities to provide guidance, mentorship, and education to others.
- Strong healthcare ombudsman skills coupled with financial analytical ability.
