Respiratory Therapist II Pediatric Pulmonary Function Services Full Time 88463BR Job Summary The Respiratory Therapist serves as a role model and resource for the Pediatric Pulmonary Function Lab. They provide clinical leadership and service coordination to assure consistently high quality care and facilitates continuous improvement in respiratory care services. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for calibration and preparation of equipment and supplies prior to testing; instructs and monitors patients while performing ordered procedures; providing patient care and assessment; interdisciplinary consultation; staff, patient, family, and community education; performance monitoring; documentation and processing of test results and assures the accuracy and validity of all procedures conducted in the Pediatric Pulmonary Function Lab. The Respiratory Therapist is also responsible for ensuring quality assurance and quality control of all testing equipment, day-to-day operations, and updating manual of operation/procedure in consultation with the Medical Director. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $68.37 - $85.76 (Hourly Rate).
