What to Expect

Tesla is currently recruiting for a dedicated, motivated, and accomplished Maintenance Planner that will support the North Paint Equipment Maintenance and Engineering teams.This role requires experience with critical spare part identification, spare part management, and maintenance of work order tracking & reporting. Partnering with engineering, controls and maintenance management to optimize MTTR & MTBF and ensure critical spare part identification and availability. This role includes daily scheduling, coordination, delegation, tracking, and reporting of non-core activity for new and existing equipment with various internal groups and contractors to support the daily operation of every line across allpaintshops.


What You'll Do
  • Partner with engineering, maintenance, controls, production, and other technical groups to identify critical spare part requirements, including justification andproposal tomanagement
  • Coordinate and drive preventative maintenance planning systems, prioritization, and workload evaluation. Including creating critical job standards, specifications, and goals
  • Coordinate, and itemize plant shutdown worklists, orders, andassignment oftask owners by shift, team, and execution dates. Identify labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements formaintenancework orders
  • Coordinate and drive engineering and maintenance reliability with activity tracking, data analysis, plant OEE, and system improvements
  • Coordinate and/or assist in outside vendor, and/or contractor support where needed; from initial RFQ, PO-drafting, and on-site work scope planning and execution
  • Reduce cost of maintenance operations; while improving responsiveness, minimizing downtime and interruptions to overall operations, applying technical and maintenance experience to analyze overall job scopes; and filling gaps in maintenance operations

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and/or 3 years of industrial manufacturing related work experience in technical roles is preferred
  • 3+ Years of experience working with CMMS or equivalent tools to manage work orders and spare parts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel: Pivot tables, pivot charts, power query, what-if analysis, power pivot, VBA query, data cleaning, and data validation
  • Experience reading, writing, and interpreting mechanical drawings, BOM lists, electrical schematics, and work instructions. Ability to break down large scopes into technical documentation, and processes is desired
  • Evidence of exceptional abilities in task management, technical aptitude, and attention to detail
  • Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
