The Security Coordinator supports all security team efforts by investigating incidents, gathering and documenting evidence, and protecting company assets. They serve as a role model, trainer, coach, and mentor, promoting safe and diligent work practices while acting as a liaison with landowners and managers to ensure lease compliance. The role also contributes to the effectiveness of company drug, alcohol, and contraband compliance programs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Included, but not limited to

  • Evaluate, monitor, and enhance security across owned and leased properties, facilities, and field operations
  • Conduct security vulnerability, threat, and site assessments across production, drilling, completion, and construction locations
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, crashes, fraud, and theft, including written documentation and reporting
  • Inspect company and leased properties to ensure integrity of facilities, fences, gates, roads, and surface use compliance
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and resource needs to address security and property issues
  • Serve as liaison with landowners, lessors, contractors, and local, state, and federal law enforcement
  • Manage incident notification, followup reporting, and documentation within Security/HSE systems
  • Deliver security training and support companywide security and loss prevention initiatives in partnership with Corporate and field teams

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of fifteen (8+) years of progressive experience in law enforcement
  • Experience in law enforcement investigations
  • Must have excellent communication and people skills - verbal, written and visual
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Able to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • State certification as Commissioned Security and/or Personal Protection Officer
  • Verifiable general experience in drilling, completion, well servicing, production, and construction operations
  • General knowledge of OSHA, TCEQ, TRRC, ANSI, NIOSH, API, AESC and PMSHA DOT Pipeline drilling standards, and accepted safe practices for the petroleum industry
  • Motivated self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision
  • Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations
  • Prior experience as a mentor and coach
