Physical Therapist Assistant

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program (approved by the APTA)
  • Minimum of one year physical therapy experience preferred
  • Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.

Pay Range

  • $59.00 - $83.00 pay per visit/unit
  • $93,000 - $128,000 per year base pay

seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients in their homes. In this role, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, support patients in improving mobility and function, and help them safely regain independence in their daily lives. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful one-on-one relationships while delivering care in a comfortable, home-based setting.

Scheduling and Compensation:

  • Compensation: $55-$65/visit
  • Flexible scheduling

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress in the home setting.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current, active Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Colorado (in good standing with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies - DORA).
  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and timely completion of clinical notes.
  • Ability to implement and progress individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Strong understanding of home health regulations and Medicare guidelines (preferred for home health setting).
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting while maintaining collaboration with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance (for home health roles).
