We are seeking a motivated, safetyfocused CDL Class A Driver with Hazmat endorsement to serve as the primary onsite operator at our agricultural retail warehouse. This role offers a high level of independence and ownership, with responsibility for daily transportation, delivery, and warehouse operations while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient product flow. As the goto operator at the site, you will manage your day autonomously, support sales and customers by keeping logistics and inventory running smoothly, and uphold high operational standards. Although you work independently, you are supported by a broader team including sales, regional operations, logistics, and safety resources. **THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION**

Role Overview:

The primary role of the Commercial Driver III is driving/operating a company truck for deliveries of goods and services to a varied customer base. The Driver also performs general warehouse duties, including but not limited to stocking and retrieving packages and bulk containers, driving a forklift, and general housekeeping.

Transportation & Delivery:

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport agricultural products, including hazardous materials.

  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, Hazmat, and company safety regulations.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs and documentation.

  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload products at customer locations.

  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.

  • Maintain clean and well-organized vehicles.

Hazmat Handling & Compliance:

  • Safely handle, transport, and store hazardous agricultural products (e.g., crop protection chemicals, fertilizers).

  • Ensure proper labeling, placarding, and documentation of hazardous materials.

  • Maintain current Hazmat certification and required training.

  • Follow all OSHA and environmental safety regulations.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Receive, inspect, and unload inbound shipments.

  • Accurately pick, pack, stage, and load outbound orders.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.

  • Monitor and report inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies.

Administrative & Operational Duties:

  • Complete delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and compliance documentation.

  • Communicate regularly with management regarding inventory, deliveries, and operational needs.

  • Coordinate scheduling of deliveries and inbound shipments.

  • Maintain facility security and ensure proper storage of regulated products.

  • Perform basic facility maintenance and report any repair needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A license with current Hazmat endorsement (required).

  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.

  • Clean driving record with strong safety history.

  • Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation management.

  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly.

Work Environment:

  • A combination of driving and a warehouse environment.

  • Exposure to agricultural products, including hazardous materials.

  • Seasonal workload fluctuations (peak growing seasons).

  • May require extended hours during busy seasons.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The base compensation for this position ranges from $21.00 to $28.00 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience.
