Assemblers use hand tools and light power tools to process fiber. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities are representative, but not all inclusive of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job. Aligns and joins parts into housing, modifies, fabricates, and builds equipment and subassemblies using power tools, hand tools, and various soldering equipment. Follows instructions on work order cleaves and tests fiber. Adds RFD tag, measures and aligns fiber for laser. Sends completed fiber to stock location. Records order in production database. Retrieves completed fibers from stock for packaging and labeling. Sends completed fiber to sterilizer then on to Quality Assurance department. Solves minor problems and recognizes bigger problems that require supervisor assistance. Requirements Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school or equivalent; vocational school graduate preferred. Experience: No experience required Skills: Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or schematics. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, data entry, production software). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. Standing, bending, reaching, and walking for extended periods. Limited exposure to hazards. Requires adherence to all safety regulations and use of PPE, as required. Location(s) Employment Type Non-Exempt Wage Information MA: 17.49 - 23.18/hr US Benefits Information Pay Range: The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location posted, the applicable range could differ. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
