The successful incumbent will join RTI International's Office of CFO.


What You'll Do

Job Summary:

They will be responsible for compiling and analyze financial information, with a focus on project accounting, record transactions and prepare reports with little supervision.

Essential Duties:

  • Compile and analyze financial information, with a focus on project accounting, recording transactions and preparing reports with little supervision.
  • Review complex client contracts with a GAAP lens to ensure proper contract setup in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 958.
  • Analyze project portfolio, prepare reports and review financial information.
  • Work with Finance Operations and Contracts departments to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations, as needed.
  • Assist with annual external audit.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and analysis which may include revenue and expense activity reporting utilizing Oracle reporting functionalities.
  • Prepare or assist in review of monthly, quarterly and annual financials for review by management.
  • Analyze financial statements using high level of GAAP knowledge to apply judgment related to reporting and recording of revenue.
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems and serve as a resource for internal customers seeking assistance and advice.
  • Communicate with various teams and business personnel throughout the Institute.

Job Requirements are a combination of qualifications and related experience. Judgment of an acceptable equivalent combination, on an individual basis, is the responsibility of Management.

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, Master's degree and 6 years of experience, PhD and 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, technical staff and internal clients.
  • Ability to be resourceful and to take initiative in analyzing situations and applying principles and procedures to assist in the development of solutions to difficult problems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Contracts and Projects Modules
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Governmental Accounting practices.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload, self-manage and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as required by contracts.
