Description

Tor Publishing Group is looking for a dynamic individual to lead creative strategy, research, and manage non-traditional media contacts and event opportunities, including but not limited to social media influencers, for our publicity department. This role is perfect for someone who has their finger on the pulse of pop culture and entertainment, is highly creative and collaborative, thinks strategically, and is a fan of genre fiction. This position will report directly to the VP, Executive Director of Publicity.

What you'll do:



  • Explore and execute influencer partnerships, book club opportunities, author collaborations, or features.
  • Create and maintain TPG database for non-traditional or "new media" outlets for publicists to incorporate into their title-specific plans, such as non-book-centric podcasts, web-based shows, and paid subscription channels.
  • Explore non-traditional event opportunities, including authorless events, reader retreats, and influencer activations.
  • Expand and maintain current influencer lists and relationships for top TPG categories, including romantasy, science fiction, fantasy, horror, etc for publicist use.
  • Research and create custom lists for select TPG brands, authors and titles.
  • Collaborate with TPG marketing team on potential partnerships, author programming opportunities, and brand visibility.

This role will have an annual salary of $75,000.
