Recruiter: Amy O'Brien /amy.obrien@airgas.com/ (620) 945-0528 As an ambassador for Airgas, the Microbulk Driver takes pride in safely and thoughtfully transporting bulk liquid gases between pick up terminals and customers, both internal and external. This position safely loads, delivers, unloads and returns using a company provided truck. This position fills pressurized bulk liquid gases at the customer's location while fostering relationships with Airgas customers and Airgas associates. As a Microbulk Driver at Airgas, you will be a part of a collaborative team that encourages internal mobility while offering our employees a work/life balance. In addition, Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation. This position includes the opportunity for overnight travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operational Safety & Compliance: Upholds all State, Federal, and D.O.T. motor laws and hours-of-service rules, ensuring the high standard of safety that defines the Air Liquide fleet. Manages and completes all essential documentation, including Vehicle Inspection Reports, Hazardous Material Manifests, and Trip/Load reports to provide the team with key delivery insights.
  • Logistics & Technical Precision: Successfully navigates transport loading at Air Liquide and industry partner plants, following site-specific safety guidelines to ensure a seamless supply chain.
  • Collaborative Communication: Maintains a proactive partnership with the Micro Bulk Manager via OBC, phone, or radio to share schedule adjustments, equipment maintenance needs, and D.O.T. documentation with clarity. Acts as a vital connection between our customers and the team by sharing feedback, installation concerns, and delivery status to foster understanding and excellence in service.

  • Ideally, you bring a valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker, Hazmat, and Airbrake endorsements.
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
  • A reliable driving history is important to us; no more than two (2) convictions OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.
  • Ideally, your experience includes two (2) years of professional, Class A driving within the last five (5) years, including the required endorsements.
  • We are looking for candidates able to obtain DISA credentials and who hold a current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
  • Requirement: 23 years of age or older.
  • Capacity to regularly lift 25 to 70 pounds, and up to 300 pounds with the assistance of provided lifting equipment.
  • Experience or familiarity with operating heavy machinery (Forklift/Moffett).
  • Comfort and ease with electronic logging and handheld delivery technology.
  • Commitment to obtaining and maintaining necessary safety credentials for customer site access.
  • Skill in reading and comprehending material safety data sheets to ensure a safe environment.
  • Skill in managing complex delivery environments (tight spaces, long-distance backing).
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated while contributing to a high-performing team and thriving in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Ability to stay overnight at approved hotel accommodations as needed.
