Overview

Looking for a mission driven NOC/SOC Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) Junior-Level Network Engineer with an active DoD Secret Clearance and Security+ certification to join our team at AMERICAN SYSTEMS! You will provide critical engineering and operational support to National Priority programs



Responsibilities

    Monitor and support enterprise networks from a 24/7 NOC/SOC environment located at McConnell AFB Wichita, KS., ensuring continuous availability and rapid incident response
  • Perform remote troubleshooting, incident escalation, and resolution of complex network performance and security issues
  • Analyze alarms, syslogs, event notifications, and traffic patterns across Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Support network cutovers, configuration updates, and maintenance activities during scheduled windows
  • Document incident findings, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; maintain accurate network diagrams and operational documentation


Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Experience supporting network cutover, installation, monitoring, or operational support in a NOC or SOC environment
  • Bachelors Degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and years of relevant experience
  • Security+ certification required
  • Strong understanding of VLANs, ACLs, IP addressing/DHCP, routing, and enterprise network fundamentals
  • Networking certifications to include at least one of the following: Cisco CCNA, Avaya ASTA, Juniper JNCIA (current).
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in hightempo operational settings
  • Willingness to travel when required (CONUS)
  • Willingness to support a 24/7 shift rotation environment


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
