The System Analyst II researches, analyzes, and supports the application(s), related hardware, and how the broader ITS Systems will fit the needs of the Health System and/or specific department needs. Serves as the primary contact and expert for the application and related IT systems. The analyst works with department management and teams to build, install, and support the applications understand systems requirements. Primary responsibilities include analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operations. Coordinates all issues that arise during the project for their area in depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. A key activity is to work with users to determine project needs, develop proposals, and recommend opportunities for technological and workflow improvement. They function as the primary contact to support the implementation of new projects and upgrades as well as troubleshoot problems and questions from end -users during training, go-live and post go-live periods. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates have an interest in emerging technologies and enjoy working with people to identify how technology can effectively support business needs

Responsibilities

  • Application and IT System Implementation and Support
    • Implement and maintain Workforce Management applications, systems, and hardware.
    • Configure programs, applications, interface, and reports. Troubleshoot and test systems, isolating, correcting, and documenting errors.
    • Review and implement Workforce Management system enhancements.
    • Facilitate requirement gathering meetings with stakeholders. Configure systems to meet business requirements.
    • Resolve advanced security, timecard, scheduling, programming, or other software issues and requests. Engage the vendor as needed
    • Analyze needs, propose solutions, and optimize workflows and procedures.
    • Provide expertise in Workforce Management software functionality, design, and build.
    • Evaluate and address requests and provide advanced support.
    • Keep up to date on current research, trends, and technology, and pursue development opportunities.
  • Teamwork
    • Creates and maintains regular status reports to Manager.
    • Collaborate with the DTS (Digital and Technology Solutions) teams and business units for automation opportunities.
    • Completes specific task activities as assigned and documented in project plans.
    • Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and other stakeholders. Promote a team atmosphere conducive to achieving goals and deadlines. Adhere to Standards of Professional Behavior.
    • Share information openly with team members and prioritize team goals.
  • Documentation
    • Document and maintain system design and build documents using latest DTS tools such as Teams.
    • Provide expertise in developing production environment readiness plans.
    • Collaborate with the training team to develop or modify training materials.
    • Build knowledge base articles and maintain accurate documentation.
    • Create task lists, test plans, and implementation plans for Workforce Management projects.
  • Other
    • Provides training to other DTS staff.
    • Coordinates interactions and activities of vendors, both on-site and off-site.
    • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
    • Escalate appropriately.
    • Perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Associates degree or equivalent experience required.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare and/or technology strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a Systems Analyst is required. Ability to analyze workflow to recommend and develop application solutions. Ability to research and interpret data ; to include reporting, preparing and presenting data. Healthcare or Epic experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Travel to multiple YNHHS facilities is necessary.
