The Information Security Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems within the organization's IT network. The candidate will work with the IT team to identify and mitigate potential security risks, and ensure the security of the organization's computer networks, systems, and information. He or she will also provide support for security operations, including incident response.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, configure, and report on deployment of endpoint protection, email security, network security, and other security and IT tools.
  • Troubleshoot and address security and information security tools that are not reporting or operating properly.
  • Investigate and address, as necessary, any threats identified by security or infrastructure tools.
  • Create and maintain technical solutions for improving the information security of the organization.
  • Design and implement security controls to meet or exceed the requirements of any compliance or regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, PCI, NIST, and CIS.
  • Collaborate and provide clear communication with SMEs in Infrastructure, Network Support, Application Development, Project delivery, Helpdesk, Corporate Teams, Regional Teams, and Operations.
  • Clearly document processes both current and future state, carefully plan out implementations and ensure that the technical SMEs that are implementing clearly understand both the objectives and details of the defined tasks.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of information security experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise information technology experience
  • Focus and desire on learning various Information Technology skills
  • Passion for Security
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, with ability to multi-task
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal background check, meeting requirements set forth by the company as well as TSA (as required by location)
  • Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and be on call
  • Able and willing to travel up to 30%, sometimes without a lot of notice
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience working with senior technical staff that are not direct reports
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
