DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide support for the Motorola ASTRO land mobile radio system. Your work will involve assisting with process improvements and readiness. You will assist with support functions and projects, troubleshoot infrastructure components, and address coverage issues that arise with the Motorola ASTRO system. Some of your duties will include assisting subscriber testing, programming, and troubleshooting, as well as the implementation of Motorola Technical Bulletins on the radio system. Additionally, you will aid in radio system hardware implementations, configurations, and swap outs. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overnight travel as needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of radio, microwave or related telecommunications experience which includes one year of system design or configuration and three years of general telecommunications experience that involved the installation, repair or maintenance of commercial and/or government systems or systems engineering analysis with a public utility, governmental agency or private company.
- A bachelor's degree or post high school training in telecommunications technology, radio communications or electronics with emphasis in radio or microwave telecommunications may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to two years of general telecommunications experience.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
