In this position, you will assist the Plumber Supervisor and Plumber 1's to perform maintenance, repair, replacement, inspection, and installation on all types of plumbing systems and sewer lines. Your work will involve using hand tools and power tools to complete work assignments. You will repair various types of piping by measure and cutting pipes and testing for leakage. Some of your duties will include making minor electrical repairs, constructing scaffolding and furniture, and preparing surfaces for painting. Additionally, you may have to work in inclement weather to complete assignments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every 12th weekend and holidays on-call.
• Overtime and travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
