Function: The incumbent has relationship and administrative management responsibility for assigned fiduciary and/or investment management accounts including but not limited to trusts, guardianships, estates, employee benefit plans and investment management accounts. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for customer servicing, account retention and business development. The incumbent may have supervisory responsibility for one or more Relationship Administrators.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers professional services on assigned fiduciary and investment management accounts. Professional services include investment management, liquidity and risk management, tax planning, inheritance and estate planning, and financial planning.

  • Ensures compliance with all banking and fiduciary regulations, bank policies and procedures and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Oversees client profitability.

  • Meets with clients and prospects to explain the available services. Maintain calling protocols, and record all contact information on the contact management system and departmental scorecard.

  • Pursue business development through expanded relationships with existing clients and new relationships with prospects. Also pursue business development through centers of influence (primarily attorneys and accountants) in the market area.

  • Cross-sell or refers non-WM business to appropriate business units of S&T Bank. Develops and shares industry expertise.

  • Participates as active member of assigned committees including but not limited to Fiduciary Committee, Trust Administrative Committee, Trust Investment Committee and Trust Operations Enhancement Committee.

  • Participates regularly in community and business activities to enhance the image and position of the WMS, leading to potential news business.

  • Maintains a broad product knowledge base of all WM products and high quality service standards for current client base to maximize relationship retention and growth.

  • Maintains broad and working knowledge of trust accounting and financial planning software.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, as well as, motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and the organization.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

Requires a four-year college degree or equivalent. Attainment of or progress towards attainment of industry certifications (e.g. CTFA, CFP, ChFC, etc.) and/or advance degree (e.g. MBA, JD, etc.) preferred.

Experience:

Two to five years specialized experience, specifically trust administration.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 30% of the day; operates office equipment: 10% of the day; travels: 10% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, lower and upper torso and feet. Bending and twisting is required 2 times per minute, which is moderate in speed. Standing is required 40 times per day in a straight position. Sitting is required 6 hours per day in a straight and leaning position. Walking is required 30 minutes per day, which is moderate in speed. Routinely lifts 2 lbs., 20 times per day, maximum lift is 10 lbs., one time per day. Performs daily tasks with the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Must be able to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 40% of the business day for computer work, peripheral and distance vision for travel.
