Coordinator, Prevention Outreach- Norton Children's Medical Group WIC, Days

The Coord, Prevention Outreach primarily provides administrative and medical assistant support to the mobile prevention center. This position also functions as a Medical Assistant, under the supervision of a nurse or advanced practice nurse, while at screening locations. The Coord, Prevention Outreach coordinates and oversees functions to maintain medical records and support billing, as well as accurate data entry required for reporting and assists in other community outreach events as needed. The Coordinator, Prevention and Outreach assists in scheduling patients and managing work-ques as well as all other duties as assigned when not working in the community. This position requires travel to community outreach locations and works some weekends and evenings. This position requires flexibility, dependability, adaptability and compassion as key attributes to this role.

Required:

• One year in a healthcare setting.
• Must complete a Medical Assistant program within one year of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED

Desired:

• One year in health education, community outreach, marketing, or community relations.
• One year working as a Medical Assistant or graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to speak Spanish.
• Certified Medical Assistant
