| Job Description |
The Operations Associate assists in the management of workflow throughout the Workforce and Community Education (
WCE) division. The position ensures oversight of all
WCE projects by collecting data and reporting; keeping projects on track; inputting course/program information and completing annual reporting; administering divisional scholarships and grants; ensuring compliance with all state licensing requirements and guidelines; building courses in the Student Information System (Banner); and providing superior customer service with both internal and external stakeholders.
Other duties include writing and preparing
WCE presentations and participate in
WCE events, be a super-user for the new registration software, and participate on College committees. This is accomplished by administering divisional scholarships and grants; collecting project data, reporting and keeping projects on track.
WCE project liaison for other college departments; Banner course and class-level building; acting as super-user for Destiny One registration software (troubleshooting) and back-up for registration staff; CC10/CC3 review and reporting; assisting in event planning and participating in
WCE events. Other duties include serving on appropriate college committees; operationally support
AVP and Directors through collaboration and assistance; assisting
WCE Operations Coordinator with building operations and monitoring; and performing other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

- Excellent communication, organizational skills and proficiency developing and maintaining accurate documentation
- Ability to comply with all MHEC reporting policies, procedures and standards
- Ability to coordinate with stakeholders to translate business needs into deliverables
- Proficiency in Excel or other data management database
