Senior Marketing Data Analyst, Digital

Remote- MUST WORK CST OR EST ZONES Our client, a global leader in connectivity solutions is seeking Senior Marketing Data Analyst. This individual contributor will be responsible for owning and advancing the digital marketing performance analytics and turn complex data into persuasive stories that drive decisions and action across the business. Building on strong technical and storytelling foundations, this role sets the measurement agenda, partners directly with stakeholders, and leads the translation of insights into clear strategies, tests, and roadmaps. Responsibilities: Strategic insight leadership
- Own end-to-end analytics for key areas/functions (e.g., website, media, social, email, consumer lifecycle) and define how success is measured for those areas.
- Proactively identify growth opportunities, performance risks, and optimization levers, translating them into clear hypotheses, options, and recommendations.
- Shape the digital measurement strategy, including core KPIs, benchmarks, and frameworks that connect marketing activities to business objectives and goals.
- Design and oversee test-and-learn roadmaps (A/B tests, experiments, incrementality analyses) to improve performance and inform investment decisions.
Storytelling and executive-ready communication
- Translate complex data into tailored narratives for different audiences, from channel owners to senior leaders, clearly addressing "what happened," "why," and "what we should do next."
- Build and deliver compelling presentations that synthesize cross-channel performance into a concise story with concrete actions and trade-offs.
- Regularly lead performance readouts (monthly, quarterly, post-campaign) and drive discussion toward decisions and follow-up actions, not just sharing results.
Stakeholder partnership and influence
- Serve as the primary analytics partner for our business units, collaborating directly with senior stakeholders to define questions, scope work, and prioritize initiatives.
- Facilitate working sessions to align on goals, metrics, and implications; guide teams to clear decisions and documented action plans.
- Advise constructively on data, methodology, or strategy when needed, ensuring decisions are grounded in reality and aligned with objectives.
- Act as a trusted thought partner to marketing, sales, and product leaders, helping them understand trade-offs and scenario outcomes.
Advanced marketing analytics and reporting
- Lead development of ongoing and ad hoc analyses across the full digital funnel: awareness, engagement, conversion, lead/contact quality, pipeline contribution, and ROI.
- Build and maintain executive-ready dashboards and reporting tools that provide a single source of truth for digital performance.
- Apply advanced techniques such as attribution analysis, cohort analysis, funnel diagnostics, forecasting, and anomaly detection to uncover deeper insights.
- Standardize and document analytic approaches so that performance reporting is consistent, scalable, and reusable.
Data, tools, and governance leadership
- Use and help optimize tools such as web/digital analytics platforms (e.g., GA4/GTM), marketing automation, CRM, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to deliver robust insights.
- Partner with Marketing Operations, Business Unit stakeholders, and external partners to improve tracking, tagging, and data quality across the marketing tech stack.
- Help design or refine data models and views that support marketing performance reporting and analysis (e.g., campaign schemas, lead and opportunity lifecycle).
- Lead governance for marketing analytics data definitions, documentation, and permissions so stakeholders trust and adopt the outputs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics, or a closely related data-focused marketing role, with demonstrated progression in scope and impact.
- Proven track record of influencing strategy and investment decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Strong to expert-level Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups; macros a plus).
- Hands-on expertise with web and digital analytics tools (e.g., GA4/GTM), including setting up events, funnels, and performance reporting views. Certification preferred.
- Experience working with marketing automation (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) for end-to-end funnel reporting.
- Proficiency with at least one BI/visualization platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker), including building interactive dashboards for executive and practitioner audiences.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages to extract, join, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Comfort working with large, complex datasets; capable of performing data validation and diagnosing data quality issues.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into simple, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.
