We are seeking a skilled Diagnostics Validation Technician to support testing and validation of advanced automotive diagnostic tools used for vehicle service and repair. This role involves working with test vehicles in a garage and field testing environment to validate diagnostic systems, remote diagnostic capabilities, and over-the-air (OTA) software recovery functions.

The ideal candidate has strong automotive diagnostic and repair knowledge, experience working with vehicle testing equipment, and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams to ensure diagnostic tools perform accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle validation testing using a fleet of test vehicles in a garage environment
• Verify diagnostic tools can retrieve software files from backend systems to support OTA recovery processes
• Execute remote diagnostics validation tests in a team-based environment
• Document test procedures, results, and system performance in testing databases
• Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on diagnostic tool functionality
• Confirm remote diagnostic capabilities operate according to system requirements
• Follow garage safety protocols and testing procedures during vehicle evaluations
• Assist with testing workloads as part of a collaborative validation team

Requirements

• Strong automotive diagnostic and repair knowledge
• Ability to interpret diagnostic tool feedback from a technical or engineering perspective
• Experience working with automotive testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in a garage testing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic platforms and service tools
• Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVOMs, fuel flow testers, and specialty hand tools
