As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Research Park in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling guest areas, entrances, and back of house spaces. You will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist guests and staff with directions and concerns, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security-related policies, and by assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of guest areas, lobbies, corridors, amenities, parking areas, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; gather details, take appropriate action within post orders, and notify hotel management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and key control points; check credentials when required and assist with directing guests, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and shift activities; maintain logs and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
