Security Officer Patrol and Access Control

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leaders, and respond to issues with calm, customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit of employees, contractors, and visitors; verify authorization, maintain visitor logs, and/or issue temporary access credentials as directed by site policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from supervisors and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol activity reports and incident reports; communicate observations and/or hazards to site contacts according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
