Database Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior SQL DBA - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

This role is for an experienced Database Administrator to support migration and build projects, as well as BAU optimization, support, and troubleshooting for high-profile, critical applications. The position involves frequent weekend work and on-call responsibilities, with a major focus on supporting SQL migrations and M365 application migrations to online environments.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies
• Manage multiple, moderately complex projects and direct team activities related to special initiatives or operations
• Support multiple projects, with an initial focus on SQL 2016 to SQL 2022 migrations
• Provide SQL Business As Usual (BAU) support for core business functions
• Support M365 applications and their migration from on-premise to online, with a heavy focus on SharePoint Online
• Perform frequent troubleshooting and proactive stability maintenance

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with SQL Server Administration
• Viewed as a subject matter expert for the team
• Experience with AlwaysOn performance and tuning, including for large high-tier environments
• Comfortable with using Query Store for troubleshooting
• Experience with SSDS, SSIS, and SSRS
• Strong project skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Linux familiarity

Desired skills:

• Experience with Redis, Dynatrace, TigerGraph, or Splunk
• Prior DBA experience in the banking industry

Pay range: $55.13 - $63.13 per hour
