We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer Echo Vascular to join our team at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center! This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, providing exceptional care. Perfect for a sonographer looking to make a meaningful impact in Oklahoma!

Position Summary:

To provide safe, competent and ethical cardiovascular care to all patients. Provide leadership and direction to those employees with less technical experience. Generates a satisfactory quantity of output in a timely manner. Able to perform echocardiology and vascular (Venous/Arterial) exams according to policy and the accepted practices of the ARDMS/RVS by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. Completes and properly documents all work performed. Practices diagnostic cardiovascular procedures with awareness for safety, education, and infection control. Demonstrates knowledge of all equipment used. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently utilizes the Radnet. Scheduling, Powerchart modules of Cerner for patient information entry/review.
  • Able to assist in transmitting images via the PowerShare imaging solution and when requested burning CD's for patient data copying.
  • Able to proficiently send image and documentation as needed for off-site review to imaging review service, Knows how to troubleshoot transmission problems when they arise.
    • Performs adult and pediatric echocardiology and other related exams as required. Which includes:
    • 2-dimensional imaging
    • M-mode
    • PW doppler
    • CW doppler
    • Color Flow doppler
    • Parasternal long axis view
    • Parasternal short axis view
    • Pedoff probe in apical
    • Pedoff probe in suprasternal
    • Pedoff probe in parasternal right
    • Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT)
    • Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT)
    • 4-chamber view
    • 2-chamber view
    • Subcostal view
    • Suprasternal view
    • Cardiac Anatomy
    • Assessment of endocardium
    • Simpson' s Rule
    • PISA
    • Diastolic dysfunction evaluation
    • Continuity equation
    • Special procedures: Bubble Study
    • Special procedures: Transesophageal echocardiogram
    • Special procedures: Contrast Study
    • Special procedures: Treadmill stress echo
    • Special procedures: Pharmacologic stress echo
    • Other Cardiology Testing: Holter Monitors
    • Other Cardiology Testing : EKG
  • Demonstrates expertise in vascular and arterial ultrasound imaging

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year experience in echo sonography and vascular imaging
  • Current BLS required,
  • ARDMS or RVS additional approved cardiac echo certification required.
  • Experience with Echocardiology US system and all transducers including transesophageal . Arterial and vascular US.
  • Typing and basic computer skills required.
