THE POSITION

Bring your experience in directing the operations of a large hospital or psychiatric facility to Clarks Summit State Hospital! The Department of Human Services is seeking an experienced leader to provide vision, drive strategy, and oversee the execution of all our clinical and operational practices as a State Facility Director. In leading our staff, you will ensure that we are able to provide individualized treatment to our patients. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will function as the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for all services provided at the hospital. Your work will involve overseeing professional, medical, and administrative operations, as well as providing the overall clinical and operational strategic direction in developing and achieving clinical and operational targets. You will provide leadership to set and achieve goals, guide the development of programs, and manage the operational budget. Some of your duties will include coordinating support services provided by the hospital, providing reports required by regulations, and responding to reports and recommendations from regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will oversee all hospital departments in preparation for various surveys and reviews for accreditation and certification.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Hours are subject to change based on the operational needs of this 24/7 facility.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Seven years of professional human services or health care program experience that includes three years in a mental health or residential care and treatment facility, including two years in a supervisory capacity, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years in a mental health or residential care and treatment facility, including two years in a supervisory capacity.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience at a Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer leadership level in a hospital
  • Graduate degree
  • Certification as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)
