Job Title: SmallTalk Software Engineer

Location: Wilmington, DE [OR] Charlotte, NC [OR] Phoenix, AZ [OR] Irving, TX - Choose Any 1

Hybrid: 3 days Onsite / 2 days REMOTE

Duration: 12+ Months (Extension or Conversion to FTE Possible)

Skills & Experience Needed:

• 5+ years of SmallTalk engineering / development experience - People who have had a break in using Smalltalk can probably be considered
• Should be able to package and deploy the applications build with SmallTalk in non-production environments
• SQL Server as database exposure is good to have.
• Should have clear understanding of OOPS techniques and design principles.
• Should be able to package and deploy the applications build with SmallTalk in non-production environments
• Full Stack Java, especially back end - Nice to have

Summary / Description & Responsibilities:

• This person will be working to modernize legacy applications.
• The application they support is used for credit card servicing app.
• The legacy system these apps are built on is SmallTalk, which pre-dates Java for Object Oriented Programming, which these tasks are very centered around.
• Will be working on a team doing assigned stories - supporting the existing SmallTalk apps and modernizing to Java.
• Have a UI based on React, would like Full Stack Java, but more focused on the back end.
