Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a Journeyman Operations Research Analyst to provide critical program management and analytical support for the U.S. Coast Guard's surface acquisition initiatives. This role is integral to ensuring best practice consistency across multiple shore-based boat and cutter-based boat acquisition programs. The ideal candidate will excel in tracking program activities, developing data-driven insights, and producing clear, actionable documentation for stakeholders at all levels and support Coast Guard Force Design 2028 strategic objectives to safeguard our nation's waterways and ensure maritime security.

Responsibilities



  • Program Tracking: Maintain and update calendars and schedules for the surface acquisition department, ensuring visibility into progress, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Data Management: Develop and manage Excel-based trackers and other documentation to monitor program performance and advance objectives. Maintain SharePoint Data Repositories.
  • Visualization & Reporting: Create Power BI dashboards to provide executives with real-time insights into boat construction projects.
  • Communication Support: Assist in updating Coast Guard websites to keep the broader organization informed of program developments.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting across all acquisition activities.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree required; coursework in operations research, data analytics, or engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Federal programs; prior U.S. Coast Guard experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to maintaining trackers and calendars for complex projects.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including managing multiple initiatives with varying deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior-level officials and communicate directives clearly and professionally.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with data visualization tools, specifically Microsoft Power BI.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Work Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite at USCGHQ, Washington, D.C.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
