Card Dispute Specialist Protecting our members is at the heart of what we do. We're looking for a Card Dispute Specialist who is passionate about fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service to our members. This role plays a vital part in protecting both Rize and our members by identifying fraudulent activity, managing disputes and chargebacks, and ensuring compliance with Regulation E and card network rules. After an initial training period onsite in our Irwindale office, this position may transition to a hybrid remote schedule. Schedule: This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with a Saturday shift 1 to 2 times per month. What You'll Do Monitor debit and credit card transactions to identify potential fraud or risk. Investigate member reports and alerts, escalating issues when appropriate. Process cardholder disputes and chargebacks accurately and within regulatory timeframes. Conduct detailed investigations in compliance with Regulation E and card network requirements. Maintain accurate documentation, audit-ready records, and detailed communication with members. Manage and reconcile instant issue card inventory across all branch locations. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve card-related issues and strengthen fraud prevention efforts. Prepare reports and summaries for leadership, highlighting fraud trends and recommending preventive measures. What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in card operations, fraud prevention, or dispute processing (financial institution experience preferred). Working knowledge of Regulation E, card network rules, and chargeback procedures. Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex issues clearly. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with core banking or card processing systems. Team-oriented, dependable, and driven to provide outstanding member service. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus! Why Join Rize Credit Union? Actual compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
