Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance and treasury professional to join the Tenneco Finance Team as Senior Director of Capital Markets. This individual will be responsible for leading the capital markets activities and developing and driving Tenneco's capital markets strategy in markets around the world, including overseeing debt financing, optimizing capital structure, capital markets execution and long-term liability management. The Senior Director of Global Capital Markets will play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial stability, collaborating closely with senior leadership at the Corporate level, within Tenneco's operating businesses and external banking partners to support growth and deliver shareholder value. The position reports to the Assistant Treasurer, Capital Markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Capital Structure and Debt Management




  • Lead and oversee the company's global debt capital markets activities, including debt issuance and refinancings, project finance, sale-leaseback transactions, factoring and supply chain finance programs, development and optimization of equity transactions, and financial instrument management
  • Monitor and analyze market conditions, interest rates, and other economic factors to inform financing decisions
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize the company's capital structure, manage risk, and minimize financing costs
  • Conduct scenario modeling for interest rate exposure, refinancing risk, and leverage levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (E.g. CFO, Treasurer, FP&A, M&A, IR, Accounting, Tax, Legal etc.) to integrate capital planning with the broader corporate financial strategy, including assessing the impact of capital decisions on financial performance and risk
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions and ratings agencies
  • Oversee preparation of offering memoranda, investor presentations, and rating agency materials



Leveraged Finance & Transaction Support




  • Support M&A activity and manage treasury integration with business units
  • Structure bridge financing, acquisition financing, and incremental debt facilities
  • Support business units with capital market solutions to managing liquidity levels and strengthen overall financial position

  • Prepare materials and analysis for Board of Directors, CFO, and executive leadership regarding capital markets strategy
  • Communicate market insights and financing recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to capital markets transactions and corporate governance



Qualifications:




  • 12+ years of relevant experience in capital markets and project finance in a corporate or banking environment with global exposure, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Corporate FP&A experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, project financing, factoring and supply chain finance, debt financing
  • Experience supporting large public companies ($5B+ revenue) or advising them through investment banking or capital markets roles
  • Demonstrated track record executing complex financing transactions

Education
