Supporting this mission, we seek a Chief Data and Analytics Officer who will report to the Chief Digital and Information Officer. This individual leads ChristianaCare's enterprise Core Data and AI function, encompassing data strategy, governance, analytics, and AI enablement. This role establishes the organizational vision for a secure, scalable, cloud-based data and AI platform, ensuring trusted data foundations that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and responsible AI adoption across clinical, operational, and research domains.

The CDAO drives measurable business and patient care value through interoperable data products, AI-enabled decision support, and enterprise analytics. This leader partners closely with clinical leadership, operational teams, and Information Systems/Epic to enable data-driven and AI-assisted decision-making while maintaining strong governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical AI practices.If this role work excites you please apply!

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Define, execute, and maintain an enterprise-wide data, analytics, and AI strategy aligned with organizational priorities, clinical outcomes, and operational performance.
  • Build a multi-year roadmap, plan for execution, and prepare a pro-forma budget based on eliciting organizational needs and integrating with functional objectives.
  • Drive adoption of shared standards for data quality, security, interoperability, and responsible AI governance across all spokes.
  • Oversee the design and operation of the enterprise data platform to enable scalability and resilience, ensuring seamless integration with Epic Clarity/Caboodle and compliance with interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR).
  • Own enterprise data governance, privacy, and security frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and maintaining HIPAA/PHI compliance.
  • Build and mentor the Core Data team (Governance, Platform, Advanced Analytics, Cogito) to deliver excellence, fostering a culture of data literacy, transparency, and a product mindset across the organization.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field required, Master's Degree strongly preferred.

  • 10-15+ years of progressive Data Analytics experience including data strategy development, data governance, advanced analytics proficiency is required.

Annual Compensation Range $279,281.60 - $474,760.00 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
