Senior QA Engineer (Automation + Salesforce)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a hybrid position located in Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; Oklahoma City, OK; or Omaha, NE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour (W2)

Summary:
Our client is seeking a senior-level Software Quality Assurance professional to develop, support, and deliver testing strategies and solutions for several applications in support of their mission to deliver quality to our customers. This role requires gathering and analyzing data, including the review of systems requirements to write test plans and scripts, tracking and facilitating defect resolution, and applying analytical problem- solving skills by collaborating with business and technical staff throughout the development and testing process.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, test, and deliver technology solutions for business areas and implement/execute comprehensive software quality assurance strategies
• Establish and foster collaborative relationships with customers, service providers, and technical delivery partners
• Develop test scenarios/user acceptance criteria by understanding business drivers to perform an analysis and review of requirement specifications and/or user stories
• Develop, review, and execute test plans, test scripts, and test data to ensure application products and services meet business needs, quality standards, and end-user/non-functional requirements
• Document, track, and resolve software defects or issues in collaboration with the product delivery team
• Ensure quality is built into the software solution throughout the software development lifecycle by performing peer reviews and leveraging relevant quality assurance processes and technologies
• Develop and communicate software quality measures that report the reliability, compliance/accessibility, performance, and security of the software products and services developed
• Work closely with delivery partners to understand and align software quality assurance services with product delivery approach and schedule

Requirements:

• Typically requires at least 6 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science/technology, business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience
• Broad, in-depth understanding and experience with the quality assurance and testing discipline
• Performs most work independently with limited supervision and direction
• Experience with both manual and automation testing
• Salesforce knowledge
• United States citizenship or lawful permanent resident alien status with at least three or more years of United States residency

Desired skills:

• Strong preference for candidates possessing testing skills and experience with agile, cloud-based delivery in close alignment with the application development team
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Demonstrate growth mindset and learning agility
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to effectively balance constraints and priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills, openness, and respect for diverse views to help build and maintain a healthy team dynamic
• Strong initiative and teamwork
• Experience working in the financial industry surrounding .NET, Java, Python, Typescript, and JavaScript technologies
• Strong understanding of test automation best practices and can architect, develop, and debug medium to complex-level automation scripts
• Understanding of the software development process and major technology terms
• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
