SRT is seeking a Design System Engineer to lead and support varied HVAC & Engine Systems deliverables from requirements to functional performance to hardware management within the performance vehicle realm. This role partners with the Propulsion Systems HVAC & Engine Systems, SRT Vehicle Program, and SRT Propulsion Program teams to deliver highly capable performance vehicles. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate technical aspects of the HVAC & Engine System design to achieve customer requirements, functional objectives, and quality targets
- Lead SRT HVAC & Engine Systems first-line response to issue discovery, owning initial triage and assessment activities to define and guide ICA and PCA owners
- Manage support for proof of concept, mule, and plant builds including parts and software
- Support Propulsion System and PFDI development and validation trips, including track performance validation
- Help define and decompose vehicle-level functional objectives and performance requirements
- Co-lead proactive risk management tasks with the Propulsion and Vehicle Quality Managers
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of Engineering experience
- Familiarity with automotive system design, development, and validation practices
- Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience in automotive product development
- Experience with design, development, and validation of HVAC & Engine Systems components
- Familiar with CDA, INCA, CANalyzer, and vehicle instrumentation
