Job Summary The Hardware and Software QA Engineer is responsible for working with the software development team and perform QA tasks like creating test plans, testing software suite using lasers, cameras, and robots. Job Function Work with written specifications and/or staff to analyze requirements and new feature requests. Design, document and propose solutions to fulfill those requests. Prototype solutions and perform testing to verify that your design meets the requirements. Work with other software engineers to develop code which conforms to our coding and quality standards. Requirements B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent 2+ years professional experience in a software development role Understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming. Knowledge of Software Design patterns Strong understanding of distributed systems and concurrent programming. Strong understanding of multithreading concepts Ability to use trigonometry, linear algebra and applied mathematics to solve practical engineering problems. Strong debugging skills at an overall system level (software, electrical and mechanical). Strong professional organization, time management and communication skills. Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Experience with source code control tools such as SVN/Microsoft TFS/GIT.
