As a member of the Wyant College Grants & Contracts team, the successful candidate will work directly with business office, faculty members and support staff in to produce proposals and conduct a large number of pre-award activities. Acts as a resource for interpretation of university and sponsor guidelines in the formulation of competitive and compliant federal, state, industry and philanthropic proposals. | Duties & Responsibilities |
The College administrative team, assists faculty with composition, review and submission of an average of 200 proposals, awards and award modifications yearly with an average total dollar value of $40M. Compiles and reviews proposal budgets, required documents and packages. Proposal packages span the scope of Federal, State, Industry and Philanthropic sponsors and many are submitted in online systems such as Grants.gov, Research.gov, ASSIST, etc. The internal UA routing is done through the UAccess Research system. Assists with routing of contracts and liasing with University Contracts office to facilitate faculty with conducting industry sponsored research through NDAs, SBIR/STTR. Work in consultation with the Associate Dean on complex contract negotiation. Responsible for assisting faculty with pre-award compliance requirements across export control, Conflict of Interest, human subjects and other emergent pre-award compliance requirements. Works with Contracts office or other appropriate compliance office as needed. Responsible filing and communicating incoming awards and sub award wards including assisting with outgoing sub awards in coordination with the Business Office. Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals. Knowledge of basic accounting practices. | Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
