Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Architect for an onsite position located in Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze adoption, usage, and engagement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for Developer productivity and Developer tool usage metrics
• Take raw, imperfect data and normalize, summarize, and interpret it for decision making
• Build Excel based analyses (pivot tables, lookups, trend analysis) to support Customer Success and leadership conversations
• Build repeatable checks (sampling, reconciliation, boundary/edge cases)
• Partner with BI developers, data engineers, and product analysts to triage defects, prioritize fixes, and track remediation to closure
• Contribute to data quality standards, test coverage, and release sign-off criteria

Requirements:

• Hands-on SQL with Oracle (joins, window functions, CTEs, performance-aware queries)
• MongoDB experience (aggregation pipelines, indexing, schema nuance in document stores)
• Power BI validation skills (data model checks, DAX basics, refresh troubleshooting, lineage)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• QA fundamentals (test case design, regression suites, defect lifecycle, traceability)
• Working knowledge of SDLC in agile environments (Jira for work tracking; CI/CD awareness)
• Strong communication: concise issue writeups, structured reasoning, stakeholder alignment

Desired skills:

• Experience with large-scale enterprise data; BI semantic modeling (star/snowflake)
• Exposure to Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible Tower (or similar)
• Scripting for QA automation (Python/PowerShell); data observability tooling/concepts
• Data governance familiarity (data contracts, SLAs, lineage, stewardship)

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
