PAY RANGE: $23-$25

OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Cook supports food prep, dishwashing, and kitchen cleanliness as directed by the Kitchen Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assist with food preparation and production
  • Set up and clean dining areas; mop floors after meals
  • Keep kitchen, dish room, pantry, and storage areas clean and organize
  • Follow proper food handling & hygiene practices
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
  • Drain and clean dishwasher daily
  • Return cleaned items to proper storage
  • Clean beverage dispensers and refrigerators
  • Maintain clean work surfaces and floors
  • Communicate with vendors as needed
  • Other related duties as required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • California Food Handler's card or SERV Safe Certificate (required)



SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
  • Team player
  • Great communication skills


EQUIPMENT USED:



  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
  • Relevant kitchen equipment


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
