Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for enterprise-level oversight of the contract and operational portfolio, ensuring disciplined prioritization, resource alignment, and risk management across business lines.

This role maintains a comprehensive view of portfolio performance, capacity allocation, and enterprise risk exposure. The Portfolio Manager facilitates structured decision-making, initiative sequencing, and executive governance to optimize performance, scalability, and strategic alignment.

This role operates at governance altitude and is accountable for maintaining portfolio integrity across contracts, functions, and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a consolidated view of contract performance, risk exposure, margin trends, and operational maturity across business lines.
  • Develop and manage enterprise portfolio scorecards and performance heatmaps.
  • Identify structural risk patterns and systemic performance gaps.
  • Facilitate prioritization of cross-functional initiatives based on enterprise value and capacity constraints.
  • Align resource deployment across contracts and improvement efforts.
  • Recommend stop, start, or defer decisions based on portfolio impact.
  • Surface tradeoffs and capacity limitations to executive leadership.
  • Run quarterly and monthly portfolio governance reviews.
  • Prepare enterprise portfolio summaries for ELT.
  • Ensure consistent portfolio metrics and performance definitions across business lines.
  • Monitor revenue, margin, cost-to-serve, and operational KPIs across the portfolio.
  • Ensure portfolio activities align with enterprise strategy and scalability objectives.
  • Validate that initiatives across pillars support long-term operating model evolution.
  • Coordinate with Product, Growth, Finance, and Delivery leaders to ensure structural alignment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, enterprise operations, business performance, or strategy.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret margin and cost drivers.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive governance discipline.
  • Experience operating within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong analytical and structured decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting and collaborating with federal agencies.
  • Healthcare industry or government health and human service program experience
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

USD $115,000.00 - USD $134,000.00 /Yr.
