Overview

Alliance Cancer Specialits is seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our oncology care team in our Bux-Mont Divison. Under the supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, this role is integral in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals, families, and patient groups affected by cancer and related diagnoses.

Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards

This position ensures compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulatory standards and supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Initiate, document, and evaluate appropriate clinical interventions and patient/family responses
  • Prescribe therapies and perform procedures with minimal supervision, as indicated
  • Provide patient and family education, including disease management and treatment plans
  • Promote wellness and recommend appropriate community resources
  • Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice
  • Maintain strong knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements
  • Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation accurately and timely
  • Provide case management services for patients and their families
  • Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff, including information related to clinical trials
  • Provide palliative care services as needed
  • Promote and/or provide staff education
  • Participate in hospital rounding, weekend coverage, or after-hours call as required
  • Mentor newly hired Advanced Practice Providers
  • Precept APP students, as applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing NP (oncology specialty preferred)
  • Current RN and NP licensure in the practicing state
  • AOCNP certification preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification

OR

Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing PA (oncology specialty preferred)
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant
  • Current BLS/CPR certification

OR

Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Successful completion of an accredited Clinical Nurse Specialist program
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing CNS (oncology specialty preferred)
  • Current RN and CNS licensure in the practicing state
  • AOCNS certification preferred (if applicable)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
Physical Demands
  • Full range of body motion, including patient handling and lifting
  • Manual and finger dexterity with strong hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting/carrying of items up to 40 pounds
  • Vision and hearing (corrected) within normal range
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made in accordance with ADA guidelines

This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Clinical Nurse Specialist Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable). Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
