Configuration Technician OnSite Position Overview A Configuration Technician is needed to support the preparation and setup of IT equipment prior to deployment. This role involves following documented instructions to configure devices, perform quality checks, and ensure equipment is ready for shipment. It's a handson, entrylevel position with opportunities for growth in the IT field. Key Responsibilities * Follow detailed written instructions to configure and prepare IT devices for deployment. * Perform basic kitting tasks, including organizing components and assembling equipment bundles. * Unbox, rebox, label, and process equipment for shipping. * Clean, test, and inspect devices to ensure proper functionality. * Escalate technical or workflow issues to supervisors as needed. * Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency. * Maintain consistent quality by adhering to documented procedures and completing tasks on schedule. * Support general documentation and recordkeeping requirements. * Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and handling equipment. Skills & Attributes * Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple lowcomplexity tasks simultaneously. * Comfortable working independently and collaborating with team members. * Positive, teamoriented approach to problemsolving. * Willingness and aptitude to learn foundational IT concepts. * High attention to detail and strong work ethic. * Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately. * Basic familiarity with computer hardware and peripherals. Qualifications * At least one year of related experience or relevant training preferred. * Technical certifications are a plus but not required; willingness to pursue certifications is expected. Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds. * Frequent standing, bending, and handling of IT equipment. * Occasional use of basic tools for assembly or component replacement. * Ability to work at a computer, read instructions, and communicate clearly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brook Park, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
