Mission Description: Vehicle validation is a critical phase in the vehicle development process. To achieve this, we collect highly precise data from fleet driving sessions. Currently, data acquisition methods vary between regions. The Instrumentation Engineer NA will be responsible for mirroring the structure and processes already in place in Europe. This project represents a significant challenge, as the company's ability to launch new vehicle projects to market depends on its success. The team's mission will include:
- Develop and implement new data logging equipment for North and South America
- Designing and executing test plans and scenarios tailored to vehicle project requirements.
- Managing validation schedules and leading the progress of test campaigns.
- Performing functional and performance tests within the defined scope.
- Analyzing performance deviations from specifications.
- Identifying anomalies and malfunctions detected during tests.
- Automating and standardizing test procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with vehicle leads to determine proper data collection strategy for new and carryover vehicle test fleets.
- Develop data acquisition plan based on regional requirements.
- Maintain standards and traceability for data collection.
- Work with data logger supplier to develop their software and firmware per our requirements.
